Nambe Pueblo, prior to the arrival of the Spanish, served as the primary cultural and religious center forthe northern Rio Grande pueblos. The name “Nambe” is a Spanish interpretation of the Tewa word “nambe”, roughly translating to “earth roundness”. And such is the wonderfully organic setting of the surrounding community, historic and grounding.

A Nambe address affords a variety of uniquely New Mexican privileges. A graciously secluded environment with the magic of Santa Fe, the chorus of a Santa Fe opera, and the exhilaration of a black diamond ski run just minutes away. Even closer is the beautiful Nambe Falls and Nambe Lake Recreation Area, a perfect area for hiking, fishing, and gatherings. A casual stroll takes you to the base of three of the most spectacular natural falls in the Southwest, and a short climb up the side of the canyon takes you to a birds-eye view. Above the falls is Nambe Lake, a 56-acre lake for recreational and sport fishing. Also nearby, the scenic Nambe Rock Formations, a popular backdrop for film makers.
